The Official Australian Olympic Team site native apps for the London 2012 Games are driven by a massively scalable FarCry API. Delivering real time news, galleries, results, dynamically updating schedules, medal alerts and athlete profiles. The FarCry API aggregates and normalises truck loads of Olympic data into a cached, REST based service with a JSON payload. At the height of the London Games, the API was servicing over 225,000 device installs eagerly refereshing for the latest results. (the app was featured on both Apple App Store and Google Play)
